Alexandra (Alex) Schulz
Hello! I am thankful to be able to provide outpatient, school-based, and intensive in-home therapy to children, adolescents, and their families in and around Minot. I've worked in the mental health field since 2017 and graduated with my bachelor's degree in social work from the University of Mary in 2018. In 2021, I received my master's degree in social work from the University of North Dakota. I gravitate towards a person-centered and cognitive behavioral therapeutic orientation but tailor my approach to meet the needs of my clients. I have received formal training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based treatment that assists children and their caregivers in healing from traumatic experiences, and Theraplay, an evidence-based play therapy approach for children. I also am an LGBTQIA+ affirmative ally and therapist.
