Welcome to The Village Financial Resource Center's Renting 101 online class. The class consists of a pretest, chapter material with a quiz at the end of each chapter, and a required student evaluation. We are providing Renting 101 free of charge, thanks to a grant from the Chase Financial Literacy Grant Program.

Renting 101
The purpose of this class is teach students the basics of finding rental housing and being a responsible tenant. As state laws are referenced, it is important to remember that state laws may vary and that a law's provisions may be changed by agreement between landlord and tenant.

The online course Renting 101 does not meet the educational components required by housing assistance programs. The Village also offers more in-depth workshops that meet all the educational requirements. Please contact The Village or your lender to find an approved educational course for the housing, down payment or closing cost assistance program you are using.
